Document, copyright, and trademark policy
BuildDue is designed to manage generic construction progress billing data while respecting third-party intellectual property.
Original BuildDue outputs
BuildDue generates original documents titled Progress Billing Summary, Schedule of Values Detail, Change Order Register, and Package Readiness. Their wording, visual design, and organization are created for BuildDue.
No official third-party forms
BuildDue does not scan, copy, retype, trace, imitate, issue, certify, or bundle official forms published by another organization. Customers are responsible for obtaining any licensed or official form required by their contract and submitting it through the authorized source.
Compatibility without affiliation
The product may store ordinary construction billing facts such as contract value, progress, stored materials, retainage, and change orders. Supporting a common workflow does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, certification, or affiliation with a standards body, professional association, software provider, owner, architect, or general contractor.
Customer uploads
Customers should upload only documents they are authorized to use. BuildDue should not be configured to recreate the appearance or protected boilerplate of an official form. Custom template functionality must be reviewed before release and should be limited to customer-owned or properly licensed material.
Marketing language
Public pages should use generic descriptions such as construction pay application software, progress billing, schedule of values, retainage tracking, and change-order management. Any necessary reference to a third-party product or mark must be factual, limited, and accompanied by a clear non-affiliation statement.
Not legal advice
This policy is a product-development boundary, not a legal opinion. Counsel should review final public documents, terms, trademark references, customer-upload rules, and any future licensed-form integration before commercial launch.
